AR Instructions Manual
Focus of master's thesis, titled 'Investigation and evaluation of different AR assembly approaches', three different approaches were compared with traditional instruction manual based approach. The different approaches are designed based on different ideas to approach the task of machine assembly using Augmented Reality.
Interactive Holograms
One of the prototype application involves interactive 3D holograms which are animated to describe the assembly step. The user can navigate through the whole assembly process using AR UI interactions
Zone Highlighting
With this approach, the user gets visual feedback about the required tools and components for the steps.
